Day 5: Transfer to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende Area)
Without question, one of the highlights of your safari. After a rich breakfast, you will start your adventure a little earlier than usual, moving from Central Serengeti and ending in the Northern part of Serengeti known as the Wagakuria Area. You will do a game drive en-route from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area, and you will as well be waiting for crossing along the river. The Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you’re patient and a little lucky, you will get to witness the death-defying crossing itself, where wildebeest and zebras brave the river’s currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank. Dinner and overnight at your Camp.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 6: Full Day in Northern Serengeti (Kogatende Area)
After a very early breakfast, you will head out to enjoy a full day game drive in the Wagakuria area. This area is home to high numbers of resident wildlife animals with large prides of lions, and from August to October, the numbers increase.
The key feature in the North of Serengeti is the Mara River Crossing, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Tourists need to note that finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to the river and only decides to cross or not cross until a couple of days later. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Breakfast
