The 2 Days Mgahinga Hiking and Cultural Tour is worth a safari visit as you will be able to meet up with ancient people who used to survive in this forest together with the mountain gorillas before turning the area into a national park. Day 1: Pick up in Kampala and transfer to Mgahinga National Park

Depending on your location in Kigali on the first day of the 2 days’ gorilla trekking safari in Uganda from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our professional driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Mgahinga National Park a journey that takes 4 to 5 hours’ drive passing through Katuna border. On the way, you will engage in splendid views of rolling hills in Rwanda, terraced farmlands, and beautiful scenery among others. Upon arrival in the park, early afternoon, go visit the Batwa people before checking into the lodge. You will be able to meet up with the Batwa people enjoy their exciting traditional dance and songs, and listen to their ancient story on how they used to survive in the forest with the mountain gorillas. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Travelers Best Camp – Budget, Lake Mulehe Safari Lode –Mid-range
Day 2: Hike Mount Sabinyo
After breakfast, connect to the park headquarters with your driver guide with a packed lunch box, and enough mineral water bottles to keep you hydrated throughout the hike remember to wear appropriate comfortable hiking shoes, a cap, sunglasses, and long-sleeved attire but light and others.
After briefing, you will start the hike experience. The hike to the summit can take about 8 hours depending on the climatic condition and other factors. The summits raise an elevation of about 3,645 meters above sea level. As soon as you get to the top of the mountain, expect to have beautiful view of a caldera and the neighboring volcanoes within the park, spend some time. Then drive out of the park and transfer back to Kigali. Upon arrival, our driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of inconvenience.
