Day 1: Journey from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
On the first day of your 3 Days Gorilla Habituation Safari in Uganda, your driver will meet you at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, or at Entebbe Airport. Together, you’ll embark on a scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You’ll set off for your Gorilla Habituation Safaris to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. There will be a special stop at the Equator, where you can snap some memorable photos. You will have lunch en-route and other optional multiple stops depending on your request and time. The drive to the park will take approximately 8 to 9 hours, but the experiences along the way will truly make it worthwhile. Upon your arrival in the evening at your lodge at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge, you will check into your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 02: Gorilla Habituation Experience and Batwa Cultural Encounter
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge on the second day of the 3 Days Gorilla Habituation Safari in Uganda, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to the park headquarters for some important information from the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides. They will allocate you to a specific group of gorillas to visit. In a group of 4 tourists, researchers, and your ranger guides, you will venture into the lush, dense forest in search of the rare and endangered Mountain Gorillas. The search begins where the gorillas were last spotted the previous day. Gorilla habituation involves trekking through Bwindi Forest in search of the mountain gorillas, this can sometimes be strenuous depending on the trek that day which is normally determined by weather and the movement of the gorillas in the forest but given the fact it is a very well-organized activity, you have 99% chances of seeing the gorillas on your trek.
During trek, you will have views of animals like forest elephants, buffaloes, other primates like l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and different bird species like the African harrier hawk, crowned hornbill, African green pigeon, blue-headed sunbird among others. Once you find these incredible creatures, you will have four precious hours to observe and connect with them, but it’s essential to keep your voice low and your movements gentle. You are allowed to take great photos and record the breathtaking moments to show people back home.
After the Gorilla Habituation Experience, you can immerse yourself in the local culture by taking a stroll through the nearby Batwa community, where you’ll be entertained with stories and insights into their traditional way of life. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Returning to Kampala/Entebbe
After enjoying an early breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for photos at scenic spots and popular attractions. You’ll arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in late afternoon. From there, you’ll be taken to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, or if you’re heading home, you’ll be taken to the airport for your departure.
