10 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to your Hotel

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked by your driver guide and you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for relaxation. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National park

Today after breakfast you will set off with your guide driving to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a visit to the top of Murchison falls the strongest waterfall and lunch at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will head out for an evening game drive and then dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive and River Nile Boat Cruise

A game drive early morning takes you through Murchison falls National Park along the Nile-Albert wetland to see elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, giraffes, lion, forest hogs and if you are luck a leopard. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, go on a boat cruise where you can relax seeing hippos, crocodiles, water birds and get a view of the devil’s caldron.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will take a 5-6 hours transfer from Murchison to Kibale forest national park. The journey goes through Albertine rift valley landscape via Fort portal town where you stop for lunch en route. From there you drive around fort portal crater lakes before checking in at your lodge to rest for the next day’s chimp tracking. Diner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Visit to Bigodi wetland

Today you will wake up early for breakfast and thereafter transfer to the briefing point arriving at 07:30. After the briefing you will start the hike through the forest in search of the Chimpanzees and on finding them you will spend 1-hour observing them and taking photos. Along the hike you might see other primates like red colobus monkey, black and white colous monkey, and grey cheeked mangabay. Later return to your lodge for lunch and then visit Bigodi eco swamp for a cultural experience.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today after breakfast you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for lunch at your lodge and later an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and then an evening game drive. During the evening Safari game drive, you will look out for animals like hyena, leopard elephant and of course the lions up in a tree. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 7: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi

Early morning at 06:30am you will go for a second game drive with your guide exploring the Kasenyi sector. Return for breakfast and later transfer to Bwindi with lunch along the way arriving in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Pigmies Cultural experience

After an early Breakfast, you will be transferred to the Park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations. You will be allocated a small group (usually of 8 people only) led by Uganda wildlife authority guide and armed rangers and you will head into the Bwindi jungle in search of the gorillas. On finding a Gorilla family, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them taking pictures and appreciating their way of life. Return back to the lodge for refreshing and the go for a cultural experience in the pigmies’ community. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Horse Safari

After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in time for Lunch and check in. Late in the afternoon at 4:00Pm you will embark on a Horse Safari inside the park up to 6:30Pm. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Morning Walking Safari and Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast you will be met by a Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger Guide who will take you through briefing and later embark on a safari walk on foot. You will get an opportunity to see what you could have seen on any game drive except that this time round you will do it on foot. Check out of the lodge and transfer to Entebbe with lunch enroute arriving in time for the flight back home marking the end of your Safari Tour in Uganda

End of Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On arrival at Kigali International Airport or from your hotel in Kigali, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park the home of gorillas in Uganda via the Katuna Border point. You will arrive at your lodge in time for check in, lunch

Day 2: Gorilla tracking and Pigmies Community experience

Today After breakfast you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing and later start your gorilla trek experience at around 8:30 am. Spending 1 hour with mountain gorillas will be a great experience for everyone. After spending a good time with the gorillas you will transfer back to the Lodge for a hot lunch and to freshen up. In the evening you may choose to relax in your Room or visit the local community of the pigmies and later have a Massage Treat, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Road Transfer to Kigali International Airport and Flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport

After breakfast you will be transferred by road to Kigali City or Kigali International airport depending on the schedule of your flight from where you will catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the late afternoon, you will be transferred to your Hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:

Today after breakfast, Transfer to Tarangire National park

After breakfast, you will embark on a transfer from Serengeti to Tarangire national park. This park has the largest concentration of 3000 elephants in Tanzania. Arrive and check in for lunch. The game drive in Tarangire will be done in the afternoon till evening. Dinner and overnight

Day 5: Transfer to Central Serengeti National Park and Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, leave Ngorongoro Area driving to Serengeti national park home to 3 million animals which is larger than any savannah protected area on earth. You will drive all the way to Central Area of Serengeti and on arrival you will check in to your room, enjoy the lunch and thereafter go for an Afternoon game drive returning to your accommodation late in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at your Lodge.

Day 6: Full day Serengeti Plains (Central to North)

Today is without question one of the highlights of your safari. After a rich breakfast you will start your adventure a little earlier than usual moving from starting in Serengeti and ending in the Northern part of Serengeti. During a full day game drive, you will experience the Serengeti in its full glory today! You will be waiting for crossing along the river but you will also do game drive. The Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you’re patient and a little lucky, you will get to witness the death-defying crossing itself where wildebeest and zebras brave the river’s currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 7: Another Full day in The Serengeti (North to Central)

Today you will have another adventure day in the Serengeti Plains with an opportunity to once again view the Mara River Crossing and other mammals and predators. You will do the game game drive while moving back towards the central part. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Transfer to Arusha

Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will later explore Ngorongoro crater with a ranger. This area is compared to Garden of Eden on earth. The big numbers of wildlife can be spotted in a day including all big five, the elephant, black rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetahs, and lots of hyenas, hippos, zebra and wildebeest being the most abundant. You will take a break for lunch. in the afternoon, you will continue game viewing in the south corner of the park where you visit Lake Magadi where you can see flamingos, hippos and other water birds. After the game drive you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Departure at Kilimanjaro airport

Today depending on the schedule of your departure flight, after breakfast you will transfer to Arusha for lunch and later to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight back home.
