Detailed itinerary of 7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha Town
On arrival in Arusha at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and picked up by a representative of Focus East Africa Tours and be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. He will give all the basic information about the safari and what to expect, spend the rest of the day at the hotel, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will meet your safari driver – guide and depart for beautiful Tarangire National Park, the park has one of the most spectacular landscapes in Tanzania dotted with the giant baobab trees, savannah grasslands and seasonal swamps.
Tarangire National park is arguably the best place to see elephants in East Africa as it hosts large herds of elephants with each herd having over 300 individuals, the park is crossed by Tarangire River which is the best place to see the animals as the congregate to drink water most especially in the dry season.
Arrive in the park in time for lunch at your lodge, have a short while of rest and then head to the park for an afternoon game drive searching for many animals found in the park such as large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, baboons and over 500 bird species. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 & 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti national park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will spend the two days exploring the endless of plains of Serengeti national park including the Seronera Region.
Serengeti national park is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world hosting abundant wildlife including the Big Five (lion, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos), predators and the Great Wildebeest Migration in which over 2 million wildebeests accompanied by ten thousands of zebras and gazelles fill the plains of the park on their annual journey across Mara – Serengeti Ecosystem.
As you explore the park, you will drive along the Seronera River which attracts huge numbers of wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, elephants, warthogs, elands among others which come to the river to cool off and also drink water.
If you will visit in the right time of the Great Wildebeest Migration, you will large herds moving across the plains in search for water and green pastures. It is hard to predicate the migration as the times and routes, the migration attracts plenty of predators following the herds and hunting.
You will enjoy picnic lunch and then continue with exploring the park, after the sunset you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Following breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Crater which situated in close proximity. When you arrive, you will descend to the crater floor with your packed lunch for a game drive on which you will enjoy sightings of large numbers of wildlife including wildebeest, lions, leopards, gazelles, elands, giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, African wild dogs among others.
Have lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue with exploring the crater floor and enjoying scenic views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpments. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will head to the crater floor once again for a full day game drive, once in the crater floor you will head to the side of the Lerai Forest which is a classic mountain forest landscape with characteristics similar to tropical forests. This forest a great sight to see elephants, at the nearby swampland called the elephant graveyard you will see he male tuskers chewing on the soft swampland grasses.
You will have picnic lunch and continue with exploring the crater floor.
Ngorongoro Crater is home to large prides of lions with around 120 lions, over 1,500 gnus, 9,000 zebras and over 50 black rhinos. Other animals you will see in the crater include buffaloes, several, jackals, thomson’s gazelles, elands and many birds including flamingoes that can be seen on Lake Magadi. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park and drop off
After early morning breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park a haven for birders, Lake Manyara which covers the largest part of park hosts large colonies of flamingoes and other water birds such as herons.
Lake Manyara national park is also home to various species of wildlife including impalas, wildebeests, hippo, elephants and giraffes among others which you will see during the game drive. You will also see blue monkeys, baboon and black and white colobus monkeys hanging on trees, after the game drive you will have lunch and depart for Arusha where you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
