Detailed Itinerary for 7 days Migration and wildlife viewing safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to your Hotel
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet and greet with your driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for relaxation, dinner and overnight. He will also brief you about your upcoming safari activities.
Day 2-3: Lake Manyara National Park
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara National Park which is approximately a two hour drive. This small but beautiful park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara which is home to colonies of flamingos and other water birds. You will arrive in time for a game drive where you will able to see giraffes, hippos, wildebeests and impalas on the grassy plains. You might also see lions sleeping in the trees and elephants feeding on the acacias in the woodlands. Later in the afternoon you will check in to your booked Lodge for lunch and relaxation with fantastic views of the Great Rift Valley.
Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park
Today you will be transferred to the “endless plains” the local name for Serengeti where you will be able to see the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon with grassy landscape which inhabits predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs and herbivores like Blue wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, zebras and buffaloes. On arrival you will enjoy your picnic lunch as you view the Serengeti’s famous pink-headed lizards and thereafter you will proceed further into the plains for a leisurely game drive from where you will retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and go for a morning game drive in search of the Big Five animals and the herds of wildebeest, Zebra and Thompsons Gazelles together with your packed lunch. After having lunch at a picnic site, you will be driven in direction of the Ngorongoro Crater which is approximately 20Km wide and home to over 25,000 animals species. On arrival in Ngorongoro you will check in to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overstay.
Day 7: Morning Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and transfer to Arusha
After an early morning breakfast, you will descend onto the crater for wildlife spotting and during your game drive you will be able to see animals like the blue wildebeest, Zebras, buffalos, black Rhinos, lions, leopards and elephants among others. Later you will have a break for picnic lunch at a small lake within the park which is home to hippos and migratory birds. After maximizing your game drive you will be transferred to Arusha to check in to your hotel for overnight or to the Airport for your outbound flight back home
