This 2 Days Mikumi Safari Trip takes you to one of Tanzania’s smallest park ‘’Mikumi National Park which borders Selous Game Reserve, which allows games to move freely between the two. Mikumi is a safari home where you can go and enjoy a great game view of the highest game density of the conversation area and easily accessible.
The park is comprised primarily of the Mkata River flood plain and is surrounded by gently rolling hills covered in Miombo woodland.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: From Dar-es Salaam and Transfer to Mikumi National Park
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before departing Dar es Salaam for Mikumi National Park. Pick up from either your hotel or airport. Arrive at the park, go on a game drive till sunset, and then spend the night at bandas or camp. During your afternoon game drive, expect to see elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebra, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, crocodiles, and lizards among others. It is also home to birding with more than 300 species of birds. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game drive in Mikumi & Depart to Dar – es Salaam
Wake up and enjoy early morning breakfast. Go for –a route game drive and morning is the perfect time for game viewing because it’s when animals are more active. Late afternoon, you will drive to the exit gate and make your way back to Date’s Salaam while watching game along the way. Be dropped off at your hotel /airport or ferry to Zanzibar.
