Detailed Itinerary of 14 Days Selous and Northern Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival
Your guide will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport and welcome you for your safari. You will have a short briefing about the safari and drive to your hotel in Arusha where you will spend the night stay.

Day 2: Kilimanjaro Day Hike
Today, you shall enjoy a day hike of the Kilimanjaro Mountain through the Marangu route. Enjoy scenic views of the park and the hike, punctuated with a lunch stop. The whole hike is about 6 hours. Once at the foothills of Kilimanjaro, meet your guide and transfer back to the hotel. Relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Drive to Tarangire national park, Game Drive
You will have breakfast at your hotel as you prepare to drive to Tarangire national park which is also found in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.
You will check in at your lodge in Tarangire National Park as you prepare for lunch and also an afternoon game drive. During your game drive in the national park, you will search for wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, and waterbucks among others as well as the various bird species which this national park is known for. You will enjoy watching the sunset in the wilderness of the national park and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Manyara national park Game Drive, Guided Walking Safari
You will have breakfast at your lodge and with your packed lunches, you will proceed into the wilderness of the national park to engage in a morning game drive. You will enjoy looking out for wildlife species during your safari such as elephants, dik dik, leopards, buffalos, chance to see the tree-climbing lions, and gazelles among others. This national park also has over 400 bird species and you will see different birds during your safari.
After having a picnic lunch, you will relax and later in the late afternoon hours engage in a guided walking safari inside Lake Manyara National Park, to explore more attractions and enjoy seeing wildlife species. You will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night as above.

Day 5: Drive to Serengeti national park, Game Drive
After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti National Park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching wildlife species such as the big 5 (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos) during your safari in the national park.
You will have lunch after checking in your lodge in the national park. You will also engage in an evening game to see wildlife species such as zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, antelopes among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6&7: Full day in Serengeti National Park (Can be as per wildest migration cycle)
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park.
After your morning game drive, you will have lunch and later engage in another game drive and enjoy looking out for wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park like elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Olduvai Gorge Visit, Crater Rim Walk
You will have breakfast before leaving Serengeti national park and driving to your next wildlife viewing destination which is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy an Ol Duvai Gorge visit for a lesson through history of mankind. Enjoy a game drive in the conservation area as you drive to your lodge for check in and an overnight stay at Hhando Coffee Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas Visit
After breakfast, with your packed lunch head out for full day game drive in the crater. You will descend 600 meters into the crater which is home to numerous wildlife species like the big 5 which includes lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants. Other wildlife species in Ngorongoro include hyenas, wildebeests, antelopes, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs among others.
There are also different bird species which can be spotted around Ngorongoro crater like ostriches as well as flamingos common along the shores of Lake Magadi. After your game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you will enjoy a Maasai Bomas visit to interact with the locals, and then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 10: Drive to Arusha, Fly to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out of the lodge and proceed to ARK for a flight to Dar es Salaam. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check in. Enjoy lunch, and get to relax at the hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay the Holiday Inn.

Day 11: Transfer to Selous Game Reserve, Boat Cruise
On the first day of the safari your safari guide shall pick you and transfer you to Selous Game Reserve. Selous is quite a distance so you will arrive by mid-day and on arrival and after lunch; you will go for a boat ride in the Rufiji River. Crocodiles, hippos and hippos can be seen here as well as other animals as they converge to quench their thirst. Crocodiles take advantage to hunt their prey and you might be treated to sights of animal action if lucky. Overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge.

Day 12: Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park)
After early breakfast, proceed for game drive with picnic lunch. Enjoy the scenic views of the Selous Game Reserve, and spot more animals that you may have otherwise missed. Selous is roughly the size of Switzerland with unexploited African wilderness and rolling savanna plains. Look out for various animals including African Wild Dogs, herds of elephants, giraffes, among so many others. Day 13: Game Drive in Selous, Walking Safari Experience
Head out early for an early morning game drive for a chance to see those nocturnal animals as they return from their nightly hunt. Return to the lodge thereafter, enjoy breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge as you wait for lunch.
Later in the late afternoon hours, you shall enjoy a guided walking safari through the plains of the park, for an opportunity to come up-close with nature and wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above.

Day 14: Morning Game Drive, Departure
Wake up to an early morning in the park for an opportunity to see more wild game in the park.
