Detailed Itinerary of 6 Days Calving Season Safari: Southern Serengeti & Ndutu
Day 1: Transfer to Ndutu Area, Game Drive
Our Tanzania safari guide will pick you from your hotel of stay, brief you about the safari and then proceed on a transfer to the Ndutu area, about 7 hours away. Drive through towns and the countryside of Tanzania, watching the people going about their day: drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, looking out for the Maasai people and the different animals, like giraffes.
Once in the Ndutu area, enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic area, and thereafter proceed on an introductory game drive in the Ndutu area, watching the great wildebeest migration unfolding right before you.
Chase the sunset as you drive to your accommodation of choice. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2&3: Full Day Serengeti Migration Safari in Ndutu
You shall spend these 2 full days exploring the southern Serengeti plains of Ndutu, witnessing one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles. Watch as the wildebeests bring forth life, how fast the calves adapt to nature, ready to survive the lurking predators watching and waiting for them.
Marvel at the scenic views at a select picnic area where you shall enjoy your packed lunch. Enjoy another game drive as you drive back to your camp or lodge in Ndutu, whilst searching for more wild game. Relax at your choice accommodation; enjoy dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Central Serengeti Game Drive
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge/camp in Ndutu and thereafter proceed to drive to Central Serengeti National Park, all the while looking out for amazing scenic views, game, including the migrating wildebeests and other grazers.
In the central Serengeti National Park, enjoy a game drive, especially around the Seronera Area, looking out for more wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch, and then more game viewing in the Serengeti. Chase the sunset thereafter, driving to your accommodation in Serengeti National Park. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands, Ol Duvai Gorge and Maasai Bomas
Wake up to a leisurely breakfast, have your packed lunch boxes and thereafter check out of your accommodation in Serengeti National Park. Proceed to drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you will enjoy an Ol Duvai Gorge visit for a lesson through the history of mankind with several artefacts backing the findings, as discovered by Dr Louis Leaky.
Enjoy a picnic lunch, and then proceed to visit the Maasai Bomas, a local community inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which still resides along with the wildlife: imagine that! Interact with them, learn their way of life, and take part in some of their activities like singing and dancing. Proceed then to drive to your lodge. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Half-Day Ngorongoro Crater, Departure
You shall spend up to 6 hours or more, depending on your onward travel plans, on the Ngorongoro Crater floor. After an early breakfast, you shall have your packed lunch boxes and proceed to transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Descend into the crater floor and spend as much time as possible, enjoying amazing game viewing. Look out for all the big five animals in Ngorongoro, as well as so many others, including well over 25,000 animals and so many birds. A drive around Lake Magadi allows you a chance to spot pink flamingos and so many other birds.
Enjoy a picnic lunch and another game drive before you proceed to transfer back to Arusha. Your Tanzania safari guide will drop you off in Arusha at your selected hotel or airport for your onward flight. This ends your 6 Days Calving Season Safari: Southern Serengeti and Ndutu.
