This 3 days chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda will lead you to Nyungwe Forest National Park which will give you access to a number of different species as they go about their daily activities in the wild. Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park will give you access to the habituated chimpanzee troops in both Cyamudongo and Nyungwe forests which will give you access to the species for an hour observing their habitats and how they co-exist with one another. During your safari experience, you will also get to watch a number of primates like the different monkey species like the Hamlyn’s monkey, Mona monkey, vervet monkey, silver monkey, dent’s monkey, and many more as shown below.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK.
Upon your arrival, you will be picked up by the driver from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda, and the king’s palace in Nyanza with lunch en route. After the experience, make your way to the park and check in your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND CANOPY WALK.
Enjoy breakfast and go for a briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. To find them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos. You will then return to your hotel to freshen up, have lunch check out, and later in the afternoon participate in After lunch, for an optional you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you and thereafter connecting to your accommodation to spend the evening at leisure.
DAY 3: TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on your journey back to Kigali city where if time allows, you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial museum and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight or dropped at your hotel in Kigali end of your 3 Days Chimpanzee Trekking in Rwanda.
