Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Golden Monkeys Tracking Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali International Airport or from your hotel in Kigali City, you will be welcomed by one of our staff members who will brief you shortly about your Safari in Rwanda and then transfer you to Volcanoes National Park-Rwanda arriving in time for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Accommodation Options: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Basic).
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Park headquarters for registration and Gorilla group allocation. You will be briefed shortly about the Gorilla rules and then after this you will be accompanied by your ranger guide into the forest to search for the great Apes. You will hike into Volcano Virunga Hills and green Valley in search for the gorillas and the activity is somehow tiresome but once you meet the Gorillas, you will definitely forget all the hardships you went through to see the Gorillas. After meeting the Gorillas, you will spend with them one hour which will give you an opportunity to take photographs. After this, you will transfer back to your lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you can visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo for cultural experiences.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking
This morning you participate in another adventure tracking the “Little Primates” of the Virungas, the Golden Monkey (Cercopithecus Kandti) now listed by the IUCN as endangered because of their small numbers. You will be part of a select group of a maximum of 6 people, and the track will take most of the day. After the tracking, you will transfer back to Kigali for overnight.

Day 4: Kigali City Tour & Airport Transfer
Today you will go for a morning tour of the Kigali city followed by an early lunch and a transfer to the airport for our flight out marking the end of the trip
