Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On Day 1 of the 9 Days Rwanda and Kenya Safari, enjoy breakfast, followed by a check out of the hotel and meet your safari driver. Thereafter, transfer to Rwanda directly to Volcanoes National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch, have it and then go check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge for a Mid-range

Day 2. Gorilla trekking and visiting the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred by your safari driver to the park headquarters for a briefing about golden monkey trekking rules.
After briefing, you will then hike into the forest trailhead to search for the habituated mountain gorillas which take you about 2-7 hours. After spending one hour with gorillas, exit the forest and be driven to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later in the evening, go out for another cultural experience but this time round to the Ibyiwacu cultural village where you will be introduced to an exciting traditional dance and drama of the local Rwandese and drive back to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 3. Drive to Kigali for a city tour
On this day, you will start the day with a heavy breakfast served at the lodge then check out and drive to Volcanoes National Park directly to Kigali. Arrive in Kigali, you will check into your hotel for lunch then spend the afternoon on a Kigali city tour exploring Genocide memorial sites, markets, shops and others. Dinner and an overnight stay at Des Milles Collins Hotel for Mid-range

Day 4. Flight to Nairobi and city tour (Own Booking)
Have breakfast followed by check out of the lodge and leave from your lodge to Kigali International Airport for a flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi where you will meet our safari driver who will take you through your safari in Kenya side.
After briefing, drive to the hotel for check-in and have a meal. After lunch, you will spend your evening at leisure. Dinner and an overnight stay at Sarova Stanley Hotel for Mid-range

Day 5. Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will set off from Nairobi in the morning and embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive heading to Maasai Mara National Reserve. During your drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve, enjoy stunning views of the Rift Valley escarpment as you drive through Kenya’s beautiful highlands. You will have a stopover in Narok town to have a cultural experience of the Maasai culture as you interact with the local community and get to know their traditions and way of life, watch traditional dance performances, see local art and craft work like beaded jewelry in different patterns and colors. Proceed a drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve where you will spot different wildlife species grazing in the nearby savannah plains as you drive to your lodge for check-in as you prepare to have your dinner and to spend the night at Mara Sopa Lodge for Mid-range

Day 6 &7. Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will start this day with a relaxed breakfast served at your lodge as you get ready for your morning game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve.
During your game drive, you will watch a number of wildlife species including predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as other wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, hartebeest, zebras, antelopes as well as wildebeest which are among the rewardable sights at this destination especially during the time of the wildebeest migration as vast range of wildebeest, move around the savannah plains in search of greener pastures.
Have lunch well served at your lodge after your morning game drive and this will be followed by another game drive later in the evening to view more of the wilderness of Maasai Mara National Reserve which is also renowned for remarkable sightings of the Big Five including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. You will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge as above.

Day 9. Departure
After an excellent breakfast well served at your lodge /camp, you prepare for your transfer to the airport and that marks the end of the safari.
